Bryn’s Pre departure!

 I have been to Italy once before, but I’m excited to experience it again with much more context and understanding. Italy has such a unique and rich culture with much older roots than the United States, and so I’m looking forward to noticing how that integrated with present day Italy. I’m also so intrigued by the places we are staying and how even they have a rich history. In terms of a historical perspective I want to look more into the relationship that religion has in Italy, women’s roles throughout history in Italy, and their environmental and economic makeup. I think January will also be a really interesting time to go as I’ve only ever thought about Italy being in the summertime, and I’ve only ever experienced other countries during summer months. Overall, I’m trying to go in with lots of room to learn and experience the country and have hopefully packed enough warm clothes.
